Omotete, Inc.
Final Report
In March 2026, Omotete Inc. successfully completed its project at the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB), which began in August 2025.
With the goal of creating an urban environment where women and other menstruating individuals can feel secure and comfortable when away from home, Omotete Inc. conducted a project utilizing its "unfre spot." service. This service enables users to obtain sanitary products directly inside public restroom stalls.
For this project, a total of four dispensers were installed across two women's restrooms within TIB to distribute sanitary products. Surveys were also conducted with users of the service.
Dispensers Installed in a Women's Restroom
Survey results from users confirmed that the service contributed to a greater sense of security and comfort during facility visits. On a 10-point scale, the average sense of security rose from 6.4 to 8.6, and comfort levels increased from 6.5 to 8.7. Furthermore, approximately 75% of users reported that the availability of the service would influence their choice of facility. This confirms that the service is not merely a restroom amenity but can be a determining factor in a user's decision to visit a location.

The service's key feature of being "app-free" was also highly praised for its convenience in urgent situations and its user-friendly, accessible design for a diverse range of users.
Moving forward, Omotete will leverage the results of this project to promote the expansion of the service into public and commercial facilities, beginning with the Tokyo metropolitan area and extending to other regions.
