| Product/service overview | SPACECOOL is a flexible optical film that, through proprietary optical design, reproduces the natural phenomenon of radiative cooling. It delivers world class solar reflectance and radiative cooling performance. By enabling cooling without energy input, SPACECOOL contributes to the realization of a decarbonized society. |
| Expected effect | Outdoor events and competitions often mean extended exposure to intense sunlight, making the provision of cooler, more efficient relief spaces essential. By applying SPACECOOL to event tent canopies at the Championships, we will create cooler rest areas for athletes, spectators, and event staff, improving comfort and the overall event experience. Since the material provides cooling without energy consumption, it also supports the decarbonization of event operations. |

We are honored that our radiative cooling material, SPACECOOL, has been selected for use on a global stage at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025. With extreme heat intensifying due to global warming, ensuring safety and performance in outdoor summer sports is increasingly critical—especially in late summer conditions in Tokyo.
By radiating heat as infrared energy into outer space, SPACECOOL enables zero energy cooling. Through this technology, we aim to provide a safer and more comfortable environment for athletes and everyone involved in event operations. We hope many will experience the “shade like coolness” delivered by SPACECOOL and recognize its potential to address heat stress challenges in outdoor sports—and, ultimately, to help solve heat related challenges around the world.
