Final Report
In March 2026, MamaWell Inc. successfully completed its project in Shibuya City, which commenced in July 2025.
With the goal of mitigating risks such as pregnancy complications and raising health awareness among pregnant women in urban areas, MamaWell conducted a project utilizing "MamaWell," its personalized health management support service featuring continuous guidance from a dedicated midwife.
In this project, MamaWell provided pregnant women residing in Shibuya City with chat and online consultations from a dedicated midwife, as well as support for managing vital data using wearable devices. Post-service surveys and interviews were also conducted. A total of 80 participants, including those in high-risk groups, used the service, with effectiveness verification performed on 78 of them.

Based on consultation records, the service was confirmed to have
significantly improved participants' health outcomes. The rate of
health awareness increased from 51.7% to 88.9%, and the rate of
behavioral change rose from 48.2% to 77.8%*.
*These rates were verified using the Transtheoretical Model of
Behavior Change, where improved health awareness was defined as
reaching the "Preparation Stage" or beyond, and behavioral change
was defined as reaching the "Action Stage" or beyond.
Furthermore, by providing consultations based on users' vital data, dedicated midwives were able to resolve anxieties through self-care guidance in 99% of the 101 total consultations, thereby helping to prevent unnecessary hospital visits. For the remaining 1%, device data enabled the early detection of risks that are difficult to self-diagnose, such as physical overexertion. Timely and appropriate advice was provided, successfully preventing the worsening of conditions.
Feedback from user surveys and interviews revealed high praise for the continuous support provided by dedicated midwives, particularly highlighting the service's personalization, immediacy, and reliability.
Validation Results
Moving forward, MamaWell will utilize the insights and data from this project to design and deploy support structures tailored to the local healthcare systems and resident characteristics of various municipalities.
