Final Report

Biodata Bank, Inc. project at the Tokyo Fire Department, conducted from November 2024, was completed in February 2025.

Biodata Bank, Inc. operates under the mission “eliminate heatstroke worldwide,” and conducted a model experiment utilizing the company’s Canaria Plus heatstroke prevention watch to realize this mission.

The model experiment verified whether, even when wearing heavy gear during firefighting activities, equipping firefighters with the Canaria Plus heatstroke prevention watch could prevent heatstroke through detecting and notifying about heat risk. The method involved having participants conduct exercise under heat-stress conditions at an intensity comparable to firefighting and then rest (cool the body), comparing measurements using the company’s device and

Going forward, we will utilize the verification results from this project and accelerate deployment to firefighting-related agencies in Japan and abroad, as well as to overseas police and other organizations.
