With advances in technology, the digital stage is expanding from screens to entire spaces. Just as a smartphone screen becomes a phone, a calculator, or a game device as needed, the spaces we live in daily will soon transform into various forms according to necessity.
Mixed reality allows diverse private spaces to be layered onto and coexist within public spaces, making the real world more enjoyable, convenient, and kind.
We are delighted to take on this challenge with the Bureau of Urban Development: fostering understanding and awareness of disaster-preparedness issues in a way that resonates with each individual citizen. Together, we hope to discover and nurture a new form of urban space that will become standard in a future mixed reality society, and from Tokyo, create a global standard for MR spaces that strengthen urban resilience.
