We are launching a new project at the Sumida Skateboard Park aimed at detecting and preventing not wearing helmets.
Leveraging cutting-edge edge AI video analytics, the system identifies those not wearing helmets with respect for user privacy and issues real-time alerts to non-wearers. Furthermore, remote staff interventions help deter violations, improving on-site safety while reducing staff burden.
AWL, a Hokkaido University-certified startup, operates under the mission “More than your eyes can see—turning physical spaces into data.” Using our proprietary edge AI video analytics technology, we address social challenges. This initiative is a significant step toward further deterring ordinance violations and alleviating municipal staff workloads. We will combine technology and human effort to realize a skatepark that is safe, secure, and loved by the community.
