Introduction of Selected Companies for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 Collaboration Course
During the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, Biodata Bank, Inc. implemented and completed a deployment and validation project for its heat-safety solution.
Biodata Bank provided Canaria Plus heatstroke-prevention watches to volunteers and collaborators working in and around competition venues. The device issues alerts when it detects rising heat-stress risk.
To evaluate effectiveness as a heat-mitigation measure at outdoor events, the project combined surveys of Canaria Plus device users with interviews of event operations personnel.
Results showed an alert occurrence rate of approximately 3%, indicating the device activated appropriately in situations where intervention was warranted. Many respondents also reported an increased sense of reassurance, confirming that the solution contributed to safeguarding the health of individuals working at summer outdoor events.
Looking ahead, Biodata Bank, Inc. will pursue international expansion not only of its devices but also of heat-safety policies and operational frameworks, with the aim of supporting the broader adoption of effective heat countermeasures overseas.
