Introduction of Selected Companies for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 Collaboration Course
During the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, AQUAM, Inc. implemented and completed a pilot project to deploy and evaluate heat-mitigation solutions.
AQUAM installed the AQ 60V atmospheric water generators —systems that condense water from ambient air—at cooling stations around Japan National Stadium and Tokyo Metropolitan Meiji Park, supplying water to misting showers.
As part of the project, AQUAM monitored water production volumes from the AQ 60V and conducted surveys with visitors to the cooling stations and event operations staff to assess effectiveness for outdoor events.
The field trial demonstrated that, because the AQ 60V extracts moisture from the air, they achieve maximum output in well-ventilated, open-air environments with sufficient airflow. In addition, 90% of respondents reported no hesitation in using water generated from air, confirming strong acceptance of the solution as a heat-mitigation measure.
Looking ahead, AQUAM, Inc. will pursue deployments for major outdoor events and emergency/disaster-preparedness use, while advancing features such as IoT-enabled monitoring of water production.
