About the background of participation in this project
- Penetration in European market will be a crucial and effective milestone for our company's global expansion.
- Strongly believe that testing the power generation efficiency of our SQPV glass under the challenging conditions of short daylight hours in high latitude regions such as Helsinki will contribute to our future business development.
About the challenges faced for global business expansion
- Global business expansion associates with diverse challenges for startups, including building relationship with local stakeholders and participation in exhibitions. Substantial costs for SQPV glass installation in window frames and other settings has always been a bottleneck in our global expansion efforts.
- Financial support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government minimized our financial burden and allowed us to focus on the demonstration in Helsinki.
About the achievements through participating in King Salmon Project
- Our product‘s utilities are proven not only in Japan but also in high latitude regions such as Scandinavia, through this PoC. We have consequently received from inquiries from various stakeholders, including local resellers, with whom we previously were not connected to.
- Local construction companies and glass manufacturers were introduced to us by City of Helsinki, underscoring the importance of collaborating with reliable business partners.
About the prospective business expansion
- Research on regulations, competitor, and potential customer in Helsinki and Finland was conducted during the PoC period.
- nterviews was conducted with relevant municipalities and companies with the aim of participating in municipality-led renovation projects, building on the achievements of this demonstration.
- We are considering the short-term deployment of our products in public and service facilities in Helsinki and Finland as a part of our medium to long-term strategy for business expansion in Europe.
